Fear The Girl From Tomorrow

Summary: When Alana returned from the year 2500, she was celebrated as a heroine. The 14-year-old girl who saved the world from the Great Disaster. But Alana is no longer the naive young girl she once was. She saw the cruelty of humans in both 1990 and 2500. It was humanity itself and its greed that nearly destroyed the entire Earth. Alana decides that her Transducer will no longer be used to heal but to control and erase. The year 3000 needs a new leader for the World Council and that leader will be Alana.

“Alana,” Arva said as a woman with long blonde hair forced her to her knees. “What is the meaning of this?”

The 14-year-old girl had a wicked smile on her face.

“It's quite simple, Arva,” she said, accompanied by two men. One had black hair. The other was red-haired. “The World Council needs a new leader.”

Arva looks at the two men. Their eyes are vitreous, as if they had been brainwashed, but that is impossible. Nothing like that could ever happen in the year 3000. Everything is peaceful and tranquil.

“I'll be the one in charge,” Alana continued.

“What you're saying is ridiculous,” Arva said. “You may have saved the world from the Great Disaster but...”

“ENOUGH!” the young girl said loudly.

She orders the woman holding Arva to use her Transducer on her. Arva screams as the red beam from the Transducer crystal hits the back of her head and begins to burn her skin beneath her hair.

“I'm the leader now. Arva, either you submit or you'll be Erased!”

The blonde woman stops using her Transducer on Arva who must admit that Alana has a hold over these three people.

The head of the World Council asks Alana how she manages to control these people.

“It's easy. I use my Transducer.”

“But...”

“I imitated the Modification Chamber technology in the year 2500. It's so easy! And then they want to make me happy.”

“But that makes you a tyrant!” Arva retorts to Alana.

“Not at all. They are free to do as they please. They can be sad, happy or even angry. The only thing they are not allowed to do is attack me.”

“I don't understand. Why are you doing this? Why do you want to take my place?”

“Because society in the year 3000 is a prison.”

Alana explains that, despite appearances of peace and tranquility, the year 3000 is not a utopia.

Children must control their emotions from an early age. Their careers are chosen solely on the basis of their best aptitudes and not on what they would like to do. Although hologram technology exists, there is no entertainment. No movies or TV as in the year 1990.

“Speaking of the year 1990 and also the year 2500, I realized something very important about humans. Do you know what it is?” Alana asks Arva.

Arva shakes her head negatively.

“Humans are monsters. They are greedy, cruel, dangerous and full of hatred!”

“That's not true! Jenny Kelly and her family aren't like that.”

“My friend from the past is an exception to the rule. Come on, Arva, open your eyes! It was THEM who caused the Great Disaster, who destroyed half of planet Earth! You may all have treated me like a heroine since my return from the year 2500, the 14-year-old girl who saved the world from the Great Disaster, but I am not the naive Alana I used to be. I have made my decision. Humanity must move forward in a different way and with me as the leader.”

After saying this, Alana asks Arva once again to submit to her. She tells her that this is her last chance.

“You can't kill me, Alana. You promised.”

“My Healer's Oath?” Alana asks, smiling even more brightly. “It's useless now.”

Alana concentrates and the crystal in her Transducer turns white.

“My Transducer is no longer used to Heal but to Control and Erase.”

The white beam hits Arva's forehead. Her thoughts go blank.

“Who said anything about killing you? No, Arva, you're going to be Erased.”

Arva's emotions, her memories, everything disappears. Arva's eyes close and her body leaned forward. The woman who was holding her on her knees let her body fall to the floor. Arva does not get up.

Alana stops using her Transducer.

“Erasure complete,” said the blonde woman.

“Good,” said Alana, “take her to the Reserve,” she ordered the two men.

The two men take the catatonic Arva to the Reserve, where the Erased remain on beds forever. Alana then orders the blonde-haired woman to prepare a speech for her.

“I can't wait to announce to the whole world that I am the head of the World Council. Fear The Girl From Tomorrow.”
